Vivien has worked with acupuncture, anatomy and healthcare education for more than 30 years.
She qualified as an acupuncturist in 1992 and has continued to develop her clinical practice alongside an academic career in anatomy, teaching and research.
Her work has taken her from acupuncture practice into university anatomy teaching, curriculum development and research into the historical and anatomical foundations of acupuncture. These different strands now come together in her clinical work, advanced anatomy courses for acupuncturists, and academic research.
She is particularly interested in helping practitioners develop a deeper understanding of the body and in exploring how historical acupuncture knowledge relates to modern anatomy.
Alongside her teaching and research, Vivien continues to practise acupuncture in Beaumaris, Anglesey.
